The mission of Ellie’s Bus is to spread awareness of mental health issues & suicide prevention to teenagers across Maryland and across the country.
Ellie’s Bus is interested in partnering with schools, youth organizations, religious institutions and other groups to help teach young adults about positive mental health awareness. If you’re affiliated with a school or other group, Ellie’s Bus and our network of professionals would be interested in visiting and talking to your group about these issues. - Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for ages 10-24.
- Suicide is the SECOND leading cause of death for college-age youth and ages 12-18.
- More teenagers and young adults die from suicide than from cancer, heart disease, AIDS, birth defects, stroke, pneumonia, influenza, and chronic lung disease, COMBINED.
- Every day, approximately 105 Americans die by suicide
